VMware, the software virtualization giant, has announced new releases for its integrated VMware vRealize cloud management platform (CMP) which will provide customers with automation and productivity capabilities to make it easier for them to implement, utilize and manage hybrid cloud environments.
The updated VMware vRealize Suite now includes vRealize Operations 6.7, vRealize Automation 7.4, vRealize Orchestrator 7.4, vRealize Business for Cloud 7.4, vRealize Log Insight 4.6 and vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 1.2.
The new integrations have been designed to provide ease of use, better control over VMware’s software-defined data center stack, and faster time to value across hybrid cloud environments.
“VMware is focused on delivering innovation across our cloud management platform to help customers accelerate their digital transformation journey,” said Ajay Singh, senior vice president and general manager, Cloud Management Business Unit, VMware. “Cloud transformation is difficult and can quickly derail without a capable, integrated and easy-to-operate CMP. Our investments in IT operations management and automation will further simplify and speed our customers’ use of the hybrid cloud to transform their businesses.”
VMware vRealize Operations 6.7
This service is aimed at ‘self-driving’ approach for operational challenges that customers face during monitoring and managing their data centers and the cloud environments.
It includes a number of new capabilities for better monitoring and troubleshooting operations- a new capacity analytics engine for real-time visibility into capacity usage; Wavefront by VMware integration to enable application and IT owners to triage and resolve issues faster; and a new persona-based ‘Quick-Start’ dashboard to help customers perform operational tasks faster.
VMware vRealize Automation 7.4
The vRealize Automation 7.4 uses automated workload balancing and predictive analytics for continuous performance optimization of vSphere private clouds and VMware Cloud on AWS.
VMware has introduced new and enhanced curated blueprints and Open Virtualization Format (OVF) files to accelerate application blueprinting, and a new custom form designer for IT teams to easily build rich service request forms.
It’s integrated with vRealize Operations 6.7, enabling customers to run self-driving operations for continuous and automated optimizations of workloads.
