1 Mins read

Apple’s Vision Pro headset is projected to ship 350,000 units in its first year of launch, according to analysts at Techopedia who analyzed data from Statista.

Vision Pro Sales to Reach 12 Million by the 5th Year Post Launch

Following an impressive first-year sales prediction of 350,000 units, analysts project Apple Vision Pro sales to skyrocket to approximately 1.475 million units in the second year, representing a high increase of 321%. This impressive growth highlights the unique market potential of the product.

Looking ahead, data analysts forecast further momentum, with potential shipments of the product reaching 12,613,000 units by year five. This translates to a phenomenal 3,504% increase from 2024, solidifying the Vision Pro’s position as a major player in the technology landscape.

Techopedia’s Lee Astley commented: “Apple is arguably the most favored technological company in the world for smartphones, tablets and computers. It’s no surprise to see them making their move in the VR headset scene.”

Apple Vision Pro will Outperform Meta Quest 2 and Sony VR Sales by 2028

Analysts predict Apple will ship over 12.6 million Vision Pro headsets within the first five years of its launch, significantly outpacing its two major competitors. Sony and Meta, the key players in the market, have sold 6.6 million and 10.4 million units respectively in their first five years.

The Vision Pro of Apple is available at a price tag of $3,500. Sony’s product is priced at $399 Meta’s Quest 2 for $300. This raises questions about the unique features and projected sales of the Vision Pro.

“The numbers that are predicted and projected are truly impressive and perhaps unsurprising. The fact they are likely to move more shipments in the first 5 years post launch than Meta and Sony demonstrates just how much consumers trust their products,” said Lee Astley, Techopedia.
