Oracle has rolled out a new set of automated cloud migration services called Oracle Soar to the Cloud, to help customers easily migrate their on-premise applications to Oracle Cloud.
The company claimed that its new solution comes with automated tools and cloud transition methodologies that can allow customers to migrate to cloud in just 20 weeks. Oracle Soar also enables customers save time and reduce cost of cloud migration by up to 30%.
Oracle has combined discovery assessment, process analyzer, automated data and configuration migration utilities, and rapid integration tools in Oracle Soar, making it an ideal product for migration to cloud.
Oracle has powered the new solution with its True Cloud Method to automate the migration. Oracle Soar features an in-built mobile application which allows customers to monitor the status of cloud migration. It also provides a step-by-step guide to assist customers throughout their journey to cloud.
“It’s now easier to move from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Fusion ERP in the cloud, than it is to upgrade from one version of E-Business Suite to another,” said Larry Ellison, CTO and Chairman, Oracle. “A lot of tedious transitions that people once did manually are now automated. If you choose Oracle Soar, it will be the last upgrade you’ll ever do.”
In March this year, Oracle had launched Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud to offer better services at half the cost of AWS. And further extended the autonomous capabilities with AI and machine learning powered PaaS services.

Soar to the Cloud solution is now available for Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle PeopleSoft and Oracle Hyperion Planning customers moving to Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle SCM Cloud and Oracle EPM Cloud.
It will also be available for customers migrating to Oracle HCM Cloud, and Oracle Siebel in future.
