Ontology has made its blockchain development platform available on Google Cloud Platform Marketplace.
Ontology is a distributed trust collaboration platform that offers high-performance public blockchains. These blockchains come with a number of distributed ledgers and smart contract systems.
Ontology Development Platform (ont_dev_platform) is already available on the marketplaces of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). With the availability on GCP Marketplace, it is now among the few blockchain development platforms available on the marketplaces of top public cloud providers.
The aim of making the Ontology Development Platform available on Azure, AWS, and GCP is to make it easy for developers to play around with and develop smart contracts. They wouldn’t need to go through complex configuration and setting up local environments.
Built on cloud, the ont_dev_platform comes with Ontology Test Mode, SmartX, and Ontology Block Explorer.
The Ontology Test Mode is a testing environment for decentralized app (dApp) development. SmartX is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) which can be used for compiling, deploying, and invoking smart contracts. Whereas, the Ontology Block Explorer enables synchronization of local blockchain information. It can be used to see the height of blocks, transactions, etc.
Using the Ontology Development Platform, the developers can build dApps, projects, and test the blockchain infrastructure.
As per a research by HTF Market Intelligence, the global blockchain market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 42.8% and reach $19.9 billion in revenue by 2023.

Additionally, Ontology has also become part of Google Cloud Technology Partner program. It will help Ontology to collaborate with Google in marketing activities.
“With this new relationship and the development platform releases, Ontology hopes to grow the tech community and make developing dApps more accessible for all,” wrote the Ontology team in a blog post.
