Microsoft has finally made its Office 365 productivity suite available on Apple’s Mac App Store, with unique Mac experience.

Last year at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, it was announced that Office 365 will be coming to Apple Store by the end of the year. However, it took a little more time than that, but finally it’s here.

Mac users will now be able to download the entire set of Office 365 apps, which include Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and OneDrive. They can also buy the Office 365 subscription from within the apps, to get up and run in no time.

“We are excited to welcome Microsoft Office 365 to the all-new Mac App Store in macOS Mojave,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

“Apple and Microsoft have worked together to bring great Office productivity to Mac users from the very beginning. Now, with Office 365 on the Mac App Store, it’s easier than ever to get the latest and best version of Office 365 for Mac, iPad and iPhone.”

The Mac App Store, newly redesigned last year, comes with a new look and rich editorial content that makes the user experience enjoyable. Further, Office 365 for Mac has been designed specifically to support the unique Mac experience. For instance, the company has taken care of Dark Mode and Continuity Camera in macOS, MacBook Pro Touch Bar, and the Mac Trackpad.

“We are excited to announce that today Office 365 is arriving in the Mac App Store,” said Jared Spataro, corporate vice president at Microsoft. “We have worked closely with Apple to provide Mac users with the very best productivity experience — one that offers everything they know and love about Office through an experience uniquely designed for the Mac.”

Office 365 services help companies to make their business more productive by enabling teams to work smarter and improve operations. Earlier, the Mac users who wanted to use Office 365 had to use it via Microsoft’s website. Availability of Office 365 on Mac App Store will make it seamless and easier for users.

Enterprises that use Mac devices will be able to easily distribute Office 365 to their employees using Apple Business Manager. The Business Manager is a central dashboard where IT can use devices, apps and licenses. This will allow employees to use the Office 365 services across Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
