Digital business and IT services leader, NTT DATA, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Apisero, a global MuleSoft consulting firm. The acquisition will help NTT DATA become the preferred digital innovation partner in the market and provide clients with end-to-end cloud and data and engineering capabilities. The acquisition also adds approximately 2,100 global resources.

Apisero is a MuleSoft Strategic and Salesforce Gold Consulting Partner. Based in Arizona, it offers technology services and digital solutions enabling its customers to adapt to the evolving business needs and accelerate digital transformation initiatives. By partnering with enterprise customers, Apisero aims to break down data silos and automate business processes.

As part of the acquisition, Apisero will bring more than 1,500 certified MuleSoft consultants and 500 Salesforce consultants to NTT DATA’s digital transformation services team. Apisero also offers full life cycle support for MuleSoft. This includes API and application design, implementation, management, and support. This helps organizations overcome the challenges associated with unlocking data that is stored in separate silos, merging disparate data sets, and integrating fragmented business applications.

NTT DATA will help Apisero clients and employees by providing access to its resources for innovation and broader digital transformation capabilities. This will include access to $3.6 billion worth of annual research and development investments. NTT DATA recently launched 6 innovation centers across the globe to bring advanced technologies to clients with an Innovation Studio co-located in Plano, Texas. The innovation center will focus on customer-facing tech like 5G, smart city planning, and digital humans. It will coordinate with five other NTT Data innovation centers located in Japan, Italy, Germany, China, and India.
Legal counsel to NTT DATA in its deal with Apisero was Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Guggenheim Securities, LLC was the exclusive financial advisor to Apisero. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions which include regulatory approval and is expected to close within the next 30 days.
