Netmagic, India’s leading managed hosting services provider and a fully owned subsidiary of NTT Communications, is furthering its focus on hybrid IT services based on multi-cloud technology.
The demand for hybrid IT solutions is on the rise, with customers preferring multi-cloud to avoid vendor lock-in. It enables the usage of different cloud platforms for different workloads.
There are numerous data migration service providers out there, but some offer migration for private cloud, some for public cloud. Some providers are good at AWS and some are good with Azure.
Netmagic aims to provide a one-stop data migration solution for on-premise storage, private and multiple public cloud platforms, using which enterprises can migrate their data to any platform they want.
“There will be a big transition phase where you will have a coexistence of co-location, private cloud and multiple public cloud. And some enterprise customers want somebody who can do the data migration across all these platforms. That is where we have made a major strategy change in the last one year,” said Sunil Gupta, president, Netmagic.
In February this year, Netmagic had acquired ActOnCloud and Cloudureka – the IP assets of ActOnMagic, to make its new multi-cloud solutions more robust and diverse.
With the rise in demand for hybrid solution from enterprise customers, Netmagic finds it an opportunity to serve them better. Netmagic is a Tier 1 partner with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services in India. The company told The Economic Times that it would prefer to work with third-party cloud service providers rather than competing with them.

“Instead of competing with the big cloud providers which we were doing at least one and a half years back, we have become a multi-cloud hybrid IT operator,” added Gupta.
