The software fans have been desperately waiting for the official release of the blockbuster Windows 10 update that has been up for a while now. Microsoft on Tuesday announced that it is going to release its biggest Windows 10 spring updates (version 1903) for its millions of users. Microsoft has called this renewed OS as ‘Windows 10 May 2019’.
Going through quickly, this Windows Spring Update includes various additions and improvements to the operating system. There is a simplified layout for start menu, making this simpler to get the hold on.
In addition to this, the latest version will feature a streamlined search option along with new sign-in selection options for Windows Hello. Improvements have been made to the virtual assistant Cortana and other Windows features.
“Based on positive data and the feedback we’ve seen from this longer preview phase; I’m pleased today to share that we are beginning to make the Windows 10 May Update available. We will be taking a measured and throttled approach, allowing us to study device health data as we increase availability via Windows Update,” wrote Microsoft in a blog post
Windows 10 May 2019 update can be downloaded starting from today. These updates can be manually checked for downloads by the end users. Other than this, the updates are also available on the Windows release health dashboard.
Users can check whether they have an option to update, go to Settings > Update & Security > hit “Check for updates” button. Now, select “Download and install now” option and start the update process. In case users don’t find it, they will have to wait until the update is listed their way.
The updates can be manually installed by the users. To download, go to this link and hit on the ‘Update Now’ tab under ‘Download Windows 10’ title.
