Highlights of World Cloud Summit 2017 – the global event of AI, cloud and IoT

World Cloud Summit – the global event, where the thought leaders from cloud, AI and IoT industry exchanged ideas and discussed latest trends and insights, came to an end on 6th December 2017.

The virtually held, two-day event was a huge success, attracting over 500 attendees.

The central focus of the event was on the cloud technology and the cloud market which is becoming more promising than ever for both – the cloud services providers and the end customers. The sessions in the event highlighted the important ways through which organizations can optimize cost, reduce TCO and maximize ROI with cloud solutions and how service providers can make use of this rising cloud opportunity to increase their revenue sources.

The industry experts predicted the future of cloud and IT, based upon the latest researches and trends.

The day started with a highly impactful keynote session by Munesh Jadoun, CEO and Founder, ZNetLive, who talked about various opportunities to improve profitability in the age of digital transformation.

He said that amidst rising challenge of maintaining desired IT budgets, organizations are not able to focus on their core operations and end up spending more on the administrative tasks. He stated that using managed services is an ideal way to come out of this situation. He considered cloud as the major driving force of digital transformation in both large and small-scale enterprises.

The next session was held by Krishnan Kannan, Head – Cloud Economics, AWS, who talked about ways to get business transformation at lower cost.

Later, Rajesh Awasthi, AVP – Global Hosting & Cloud Services, Tata Communications, in his session – building a hybrid cloud strategy for an organization, talked about the benefits of multi-cloud strategy for an organization and how with managed services, it can simplify its journey to cloud.

Barkha Singh – Chief Marketing Officer, ZNetLive, talked about securing business-critical data with cost optimization. She discussed how backup-as-a-service can help enterprises save up to 1/3rd of their total backup cost.

The list of attendees included CSPs, MSPs, Hosters, SaaS providers and thought leaders from various enterprises.
