Etisalat Digital is joining hands with Microsoft to enable digital transformation among government entities, large enterprises, and SMBs in the UAE.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Etisalat was founded more than four decades ago and is the first telecom service provider in the UAE. Last year, the company launched the first commercial 5G wireless network in the country and became the first telco in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to achieve this milestone.
Now, the company is taking another step towards digitally transforming the enterprises in the country by bringing Microsoft’ cloud services to them. These cloud services will include Microsoft Azure, Office 365, ExpressRoute, and data residency solutions.
“Our collaboration with Microsoft perfectly fits our existing capabilities and positions Etisalat Digital as the digital enabler on the Microsoft local cloud, empowering our customers to move faster to the cloud, increase agility, accelerate innovation with enhanced service latency and performance,” said Salvador Anglada, Group Chief Business Officer, Etisalat.
“Microsoft’s trusted intelligent local cloud offering with world-class security and compliance combined with Etisalat’s own advanced infrastructure and reliable connectivity and strong local presence address the digital transformation needs of organisations in the country, which reinforces the UAE 2021 Vision of attaining the global top position in smart services.”
Etisalat will now work as a strategic Microsoft partner and provide customers with the cloud, security, and access services that are based on the intelligent and trusted cloud. It will deliver integrated connectivity with Microsoft ExpressRoute and private cloud solutions using Azure Stack.
To help customers easily shift to cloud, Etisalat Digital will also offer consulting, migration, and managed services.
