VMware expands cloud portfolio, simplifies multi-cloud adoption

VMware, the software virtualization giant, expanded its cloud services portfolio with new offerings that can help customers manage the complexities of multi-cloud environments and get streamlined operations from data center to the cloud. When enterprises increase the use of cloud computing for their businesses, they go for multiple cloud providers, which increases the operational complexity and risk in terms of varied infrastructures, processes and management tools. VMware Cloud Services will help organizations utilize any cloud environment with consistent operations, visibility, automation, management and security. As per VMware Cloud Market Study, around 67% of the industry is estimated to utilize two or more cloud service providers in addition to their on-premises data centers. “The nee...

Hyper-V vs vSphere vs XenServer vs KVM─ comparing top hypervisors in 2018

This article approaches the technical overview and comparison of best server virtualization software, from an application and performance point of view. What is server virtualization? Creating a virtual or isolated form of an IT environment is called virtualization. Typically, only a single application or operating system can be run by servers, which leads to inefficient resource utilization. When the servers are virtualized, a single server can run multiple applications and operating systems. It increases overall efficiency, as well as cost-effectiveness. The server virtualization software is generally referred to as hypervisor. Best server virtualization software in 2018 Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, and Red Hat KVM, are the biggest players in the server virtualiza...
