C3 IoT and Intel join hands on new AI and IoT platform

C3 IoT, a digital transformation software provider, has joined hands with Intel on an artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) partnership. The companies together aim to provide on-premise, hybrid and edge-based AI and IoT applications to large commercial and public-sector organizations. The joint solution is an optimized AI software and hardware platform called C3 IoT AI Appliance powered by Intel AI. It is a full-stack turnkey system which can be used to develop and train deep learning and several machine learning models. After launching the Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud in March, Oracle has now extended its autonomous capabilities with general availability of new PaaS services. The company launched Oracle Autonomous Analytics Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Integration Cloud, and Oracle Autonomous Visual Builder Cloud. Vapor IO and Packet team up to introduce on-demand 5G-as-a-Service 

The leading edge-computing and data center provider, Vapor IO, is collaborating with Packet, a bare metal cloud provider, to launch 5G-as-a-service (5GaaS) offering through Vapor IO’s Kinetic Edge micro data centers.   As a part of the partnership, Vapor IO will supervise the physical services, deliver real-time infrastructure management, and operate the lit fiber networking. Oracle enters into an agreement to buy Australian Cloud service provider Aconex

Oracle Corporation, the leading enterprise technology software provider, recently announced signing an agreement to acquire Aconex Limited, for A$7.80 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at US$1.2 billion, net of Aconex cash. Global Public cloud services revenue to hit $260 billion in 2017: Gartner

According to Gartner’s latest forecast, the worldwide public cloud revenues are set to hit $260 billion by the end of 2017, up from $219.6 billion in 2016. That shows year-on-year growth of 18.5%. The software as a service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) are the two fastest growing segments in the cloud services market. SaaS revenue might grow by 21%, to $58.6 billion in 2017. Public cloud services market in India to grow 43% in 2017: Gartner

According to a study by global analyst firm, Gartner, public cloud services in India might grow by 43% in 2017 to a total of $1.9 billion. Hyperscale providers continue dominating the public cloud Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), which is showing the highest growth. IaaS growth will be highest (42%, to $699 million) in 2017, followed by Platform as a service (33.5%, to $169 million), and Software as a Service (33.3%, to $651 million).
