Capgemini and Unity are coming together to help organizations worldwide explore and seize business opportunities and the benefits of immersive and metaverse experiences across industries. The partnership will have a major role in designing and scaling tailored metaverse solutions for clients and bringing the physical and digital worlds closer.
Previously Capgemini and Unity together delivered numerous projects for leading global companies like an interactive application enabling sales teams to visualize shelf space layouts in 3D, and an immersive simulator for a fire fighting vehicle manufacturer for training its operators.
The two companies will now work together to define and execute sector-specific solutions and professional services for each client. As part of their new multiyear global partnership alliance, they plan to:
- formulate approaches and methodologies, and jointly conduct research and development (R&D) projects as part of the Capgemini Metaverse Lab, contributing together to building the future metaverse/Web3.
- help each other in business development, solution development, and sales initiatives, using expertise and market insights from both organizations.
- conduct joint recruitment and training to scale up a global bench of talent certified on Unity’s RT3D technology for growing the global talent pool in these fields.
Capgemini and Unity’s global alliance partnership will focus on sectors and use cases like consumer goods & retail, manufacturing, life sciences, telecommunications, media & technology, financial services, energy & utilities, and public services, which will benefit both digital customer and employee experiences the most.

Unity will enhance Capgemini’s capabilities from customer and employee experience (CX/EX) strategy and design to front-end development and integration. Capgemini with its global footprint and deep industry expertise and understanding of client needs will help accelerate the growth of Unity’s technology platform. Joint client projects can benefit from Capgemini’s holistic capabilities in shaping business models and strategies and technology expertise in components that will be required to roll out and scale the future metaverse.
Capgemini’s new Metaverse-Lab
Capgemini is moving towards its ambitions through its Metaverse-Lab, comprising a team of senior technology experts from across the Group who have a strong track record in the key technologies of the Web3 / metaverse. The Lab intends to shape industry-specific metaverse strategies and plans to develop disruptive actionable solutions and platforms with Unity and other partners. Its R&D programs will include the future of immersive human-machine interfaces and controllers, the future of work in the metaverse, the future of digital twins, and the future of blockchain and Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).
